Chapter Two (First Thoughts)

CHAPTER TWO

FIRST THOUGHTS

Now that your pride has been breached and shyness worked through, we can

move on to the more strategic side of meeting women: a side less talked about by the

average woman go-getter.  When you see a beautiful woman walk by, what is the first

thought in your mind? Is it how good-looking she is? Or how you wish you could be with

her? Or maybe, what she is missing because she‟s not with you?

Now here comes the fun part about women.  Women are telling men everything

we need to know to be successful in our very first meeting with them.  What men lack is

the understanding of how to read what women are trying to tell us.

Let‟s say you‟re at a coffee shop and you see a girl sitting in the corner, reading a

book.  The first question you should be thinking at this time is, What book is it? It‟s a very

simple thought.  Before I move on, let‟s call this girl who‟s reading the book Anna T, or

just Anna.  So now we see Anna in the corner reading her book and we want to know

what she‟s reading.  From a distance, we take a better glance and we can see it‟s a

psychology textbook.  “Great,” you should be thinking.  Now we know she is either a

college or high school student.  You can make an inference on how old she is, and then

know if Anna is in high school or college.  Depending on the location of the coffee shop,

you can make a general guess of what school she goes to from the distance of most

colleges in the area.  So, already we know Anna is a student and we are going to say

she‟s between the age of 19 and 21, and going to a college in the area.  Since there are

only three colleges in the area we can take a stab a little later as to which one she

attends.

Now, let‟s take a look at Anna‟s surroundings.  When I say “surroundings,” I

mean what she‟s wearing, what type of purse she‟s using, and her earrings; all of these

details give evidence to her style.  What If Anna has a Coach purse? I would then think

she is a classy woman who is a bit into fashion and knows how to dress in a multitude of

situations.  Similarly, what if Anna has a hemp purse? Well, you may think she might be

a hippy and likes peace.  She might even smoke pot, or might have at one time.  Or she

just might like the lifestyle and the meaning of hemp and what it represents.  Take a look

at her hands; maybe she has a ring on.  Perhaps Anna is wearing her birthstone, or

maybe she‟s wearing her favorite colored scarf.

Okay, let‟s assume for now that Anna does have a Coach purse.  Further

examining her from a distance, we observe that she is sitting upright with excellent

posture.  As she reads, her face is very animated.  On her right hand ring finger she

wears a small ring.

Let‟s review what Anna has told us without even talking to us.  First, we know

she is reading a psychology book for school.  Second, we can deduce that she must be

a student.  Her age is between 19 and 21.  She likes the Coach product line, which can

represent a lot, as I briefly touched on.  She‟s also wearing a red ring on her right hand

ring finger.  Her posture is quite good, and she has a very animated face while reading,

which also tells us something.  How so? If you see someone reading and their facial

expression is flat or dull, that can represent their personality.  So given that Anna has a

very animated face, we can infer that she might be very happy, personable and even

passionate.  Anna is also very conscious of her body; we know this because of her good

posture.  From her red ring—if it is a stone and looks like a garnet or rose quartz—you

could then assume her birthday is in January, if you know what birthstones correlate to

which months.  Now that we have taken a step back and reviewed how to use Anna‟s

surroundings to help paint a portrait of whom she is, now it‟s time to formulate the

information into an effective approach.
